Seat Belt Course Details

The Texas online seat belt course requires a minimum of six hours to complete, but there is no time limit (you can take as much time as you need).

The course is fully approved by the State of Texas and is accepted by all Texas traffic courts. When you finish the course, you will need to turn your certificate of completion in the court that ordered you to complete a seat belt course.

If your deadline date with the court is approaching quickly, you can select express delivery (overnight or 2nd day) of your completion certificate. It is your responsibility to turn your completion certificate in to the court. The defensive driving school will not report your completion.

The answer to this question is provided by The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), which compiles traffic crash statistics from all 50 states on an annual basis. For the other side of the coin, NHTSA estimates that 300 lives are lost from drivers who opt to NOT wear their seat belts.
