Texas teens who are at least 14 years old can take this TEA approved online driver ed course offered by Texas Drive Safe.
Texas law (Section 521.204[2], Texas Statutes) requires that anyone under 18 take this course in order to be eligible to apply for a first driver license.
For a limited time, everyone who signs up for the course will receive a FREE driver license practice test ($9.95 value).
Online learning has several advantages over the traditional classroom curriculum. One of these is that the student can actively participate in the course by completing interactive exercises.
In some classroom driver ed courses, student participation is not required, so students can more easily "tune out" and lose focus on the important concepts they need to learn in order to be safe drivers. With the online driver ed course, students are presented with an attention-grabbing curriculum that teaches them while entertaining at the same time. This often comes as a pleasant surprise to those who have long assumed that learning can only occur in the presence of a live instructor.
With online Texas driver education, every student receives the same curriculum each time. No material is left out by accident or not taught because time ran out. Students can learn at their own pace, instead of being forced to sit in a room for long hours at a time.
This driver ed course meets all requirements of the Texas Education Agency. It was developed and is hosted by I Drive Safely®, a national traffic safety course provider.
Give the online driver ed course a try and we're sure you'll agree this is the best way to complete your Texas driver ed requirement.
