When you register for your course, and after you pass your final exam, you will have the option to upgrade from the free USPS delivery to one of our express delivery options. We offer 2 business day, standard overnight, and priority overnight options as upgraded options.

Our friendly, professional customer service staff will be happy to help you get your Texas defensive driving course certificate of completion as quickly as possible so that you can meet your court obligation.

Express Delivery Options

If you complete the course by 3:00 PM on any business day (Monday to Friday, excluding holidays), your certificate will be processed and sent out the same day via the shipping method you select. Otherwise, your certificate will be sent out the following business day. If you do not choose an upgraded shipping option, your certificate will be sent via standard US Mail, and will be delivered within approximately 3-5 business days depending upon your location.

Instructions for Court Certificate

If you selected "ticket dismissal" as your reason for attending the TEA approved defensive driving course, you will receive a certificate containing two parts. The first part needs to be turned in to the Texas court for ticket dismissal. You should follow the instructions you received from the court regarding where to mail or deliver the certificate. Texas Drive Safe does not report your traffic school completion to the court. The second part is for your insurance provider, and is to be turned in to your insurance agent to receive any appropriate discounts (see section on insurance certificate below).

Instructions for Insurance Certificate

Customers who select "insurance discount / reduction " as their reason for attending the defensive driving course will receive a single certificate. This certificate should be turned in to your Texas auto insurance provider for your insurance discount.

Note that most major auto insurance companies DO give a discount for Texas defensive driving course attendance. However, some do not, so if you intend to take the course for this reason, you should contact your insurer first to confirm that you are eligible. The auto insurance discount granted will be up to 10% over a 3-year policy period.
