How Do I Obtain an Instructor's
Signature on the Form that I Received from the Court?
1. When Will I Receive My
Certificate of Completion?
When you successfully
complete the course, you will be mailed a two-part certificate
of completion mailer. This contains both COURT and INSURANCE
certificates. Texas law requires Driver Training Associates
(DTA), TicketSchool.com's course provider (CP-090) which in turn
powers TexasDriveSafe.com’s website to mail the certificates to
the participant no later than the 15th working day following
completion of the course. Participants not receiving the
completion certificates by the time listed should contact
DTA/TicketSchool.com at (800) 558-9887 or via email at
info@ticketschool.com.

2. What Do I Need to Do with My
Certificate of Completion?
The first completion certificate you will receive
is a governmental document produced by the Texas Education
Agency. Be sure to note that this certificate is labeled "COURT"
for presentation to the court by the appointed deadline. It is
advisable to make a copy of the document for your records.
Remember that it is the participant's responsibility to present
the certificate to the court directly. TicketSchool.com or
TexasDriveSafe.com does not notify the court. The second
certificate, labeled "INSURANCE," is for presentation to your
insurance carrier. You must present this certificate to your
agent/carrier to receive the appropriate premium discount. It is
advisable to contact your insurance agent to determine their
procedures and your eligibility for the discount. If you have
any questions with regard to the procedures for obtaining and
presenting either certificate you will receive by mail, please
contact DTA/TicketSchool.com at (800) 558-9887.

3. Is This Course Approved for an

Education Agency (CP-090) and the Texas State Board of Insurance
to offer this course of instruction for the automobile insurance
discount benefit since program inception. In order to receive

Certificate of Completion-labeled "INSURANCE"-to your insurance
carrier. It is advisable to contact your insurance agent to

4. What Should I Do if My Employer
Has Directed Me to Complete a Defensive Driving Course?
Many employers require that an employee who
operates a company vehicle must complete a research proven
effective driver improvement program such as the Driver Training
Associates Program for Driver Improvement-Texas Internet Course
as an ongoing condition of employment. This is the program that
TicketSchool.com uses which in turn powers TexasDriveSafe.com.
The option to complete this type of training in an interactive
environment is being selected by employers in increasing numbers
to reduce driver downtime, while ensuring that a credible and
ongoing driver improvement activity remains in place to reduce
losses, injuries, and fatalities among company drivers. If you
have been referred to our course for this purpose, please select
the "Business and Industry" option. Persons completing the
course for this purpose will be sent a Certificate of Completion
at the successful conclusion of the course and final examination
for presentation to the employer's safety manager or other
applicable party.

8. What if I Decide to Cancel My
Registration and/or I Would Like a Refund?
If you have registered for the course shortly
before your due date and you believe that you will not be able
to complete the course in time, you might be able to obtain a
date extension from the court. If this is an option that you had
not already considered, please bear in mind that many courts do
not advertise that they allow a grace period for completions, or
that they might accept a certificate that is received after your
due date as long as it has been postmarked before your due date.
Furthermore, some courts will accept a faxed copy of your
certificate, placing your completion status on hold until the
actual certificate arrives in their office. Finally, we have
express shipment options available for a nominal fee.
If you are ultimately unable to complete the course because of
time constraints or certain other reasons, we can fully refund
your course fee as long as you have not already begun the final
exam. If you wish to cancel your registration (provided that you
have not already paid for the course), you do not need to do
anything. After a long period of time has elapsed during which
we have not tracked any activity from your login name, your
information will be removed from our site automatically and you
will not be billed for use of the course.

12. How Do I Move from One Page to
Another in the Course?
The course material is presented sequentially,
therefore you will need to begin with the first unit and work
through each successive unit until you reach the final exam.
Each unit contains an internal timer that must run down before
you can progress to the next unit. The length of time you will
be required to spend on each page is determined by the amount of
material on the page or the length of a video contained in a
particular page. After the timer for a unit has run down, you
can advance to the next unit by clicking on the "Next" link
found at the top and bottom of each page.
Once you have completed a page, you can always go back to it by
clicking on the page number, which is found in the "Jump to
Page" link located at the top and bottom of each page of the
course. By clicking on the links marked "Back to Sections," you
can access the index page for the course. From this page, you
can return to any units that have been completed previously.

13. What Score Is Required to Pass
the Final Exam?
After you have completed all six units of the
course and paid the course fee, you will be able to access the
final exam. From the course units index page, you will need to
click on the link at the bottom that says "Take final exam." You
will then be given the choice to review the material you have
just learned or go directly into the exam. When you choose to
take the exam, you will be asked 20 questions that are drawn
randomly from the material presented in the six units of study.
In order to pass the exam, you must receive a score of at least
70%, which means that you can miss no more than six questions.
You will be given three opportunities to take the final exam.
Please read the instructions carefully before you begin taking
your exam. After you have answered all of the questions, you
will need to click on the "submit" button and you will be
notified automatically of your results. Notification of a
passing score will also be sent to our certificate processing
division. If you do not pass the exam upon your first three
attempts, you will be prompted to call our office (800) 558-9887
in order to re-register.

14. Does the Course Have To Be
Completed in One Sitting?
No, you can spend as much time on the course as
you wish. Because you receive a unique login name when you
register for the course, you will be able to access the course
from any computer that allows you to browse the Internet. Your
course progress is updated automatically after you complete each
page of the course, therefore you will be able to log out of the
course at one computer and pick up where you left off at another
computer. If you wish to leave the course at any time, simply
log out, and log in again when you are ready to resume your
work. You can spend hours, days, or even weeks on the course,
but please keep in mind that your certificate will need to be
turned in to the appropriate authority by a certain date.

Do I Have to Attend Traffic
School in the County that Issued My Citation?
The good news is that you can complete the course
from any location - wherever you can find a computer with access
to the Internet! You can log into and out of the course whenever
you wish and you will not even need to leave the security and
convenience of your home or office. Although you can take the
course anywhere, your completion certificate will need to be
sent to the appropriate authority, such as the court that
directed you to attend a driving safety course. It is always a
good idea to make a copy of your signed certificate before
mailing it to the court. Furthermore, you will be able to
determine the exact date that the court received your
certificate if you send it via registered mail, return receipt
requested.

16. What Can I Do About Poor Video
Performance?
Parts of our course use streamed video segments
in formats playable on two of the Internet's most popular video
players - Windows Media Player and Quick Time Player. If you do
not already have one of these players installed on your
computer, you can download versions of each by following the
directions found at Unit 1 Page 2 of our course. From Unit 1
Page 2, click on the link toward the bottom of the page that
says "I need video help" and follow the instructions contained
therein.
If Windows Media Player or Quick Time Player is already
installed on your computer and you are having difficulties
viewing the video streams, you can adjust the buffering rate
settings found in the properties tabs of these players, or
consult the help file for either player for further suggestions
on ways to increase performance. The quality of the video
playback will depend upon several factors, such as your internet
connection speed, the amount of memory your computer has, and
the version (newer or older) of the video player you are using.
Improvements in any of these areas might contribute to the
quality of video playback on your computer system.
Customers with faster internet connections such as cable, DSL,
T-1, or ISDN will usually experience fewer interruptions in
video playback and will obtain a picture that is close to
television quality. Customers with dial-up connections will see
a smaller picture with a slower response time that might
resemble a slide show presentation at times; however, even if
the video appears jumpy, the audio track should play back
without interruption.
If you would like for one of our customer service
representatives to assist you with issues relating to video
playback, please call (800) 558-9887.
